What is a Daily Money Manager?

A Daily Money Manager (DMM) provides personal assistance to clients who have difficulty managing their day-to-day financial affairs. Assistance is provided to seniors and older adults, caregivers, people with disabilities, sandwich generation adults, busy professionals, high net worth individuals, small businesses and others.

The services provided by Thrive FinCare Solutions are unique in the breadth and depth of needs met. Our services range from assistance with check writing and maintaining bank accounts to administering all personal, financial, and health insurance matters, including coordination with professional advisors such as attorneys and accountants.

Do clients give up control of their finances?

No. Our services are 100% transparent and we make sure our clients fully understand how we are managing their financial affairs. On a regular basis, we work with our clients in their homes, our office or remotely, and we take care of the financial responsibilities together. We realize our service is based on trust, and we take that trust seriously. We make sure our clients understand and are fully aware of how their financial matters are being managed. We document everything we do and provide whatever is required to assure our clients and their families that their financial affairs are handled professionally, competently and securely.

If I hire you as my daily money manager, do I still need an accountant, lawyer or social worker?

Yes. Thrive FinCare Solutions does not take the place of accountants, lawyers, financial planners, social workers or other professionals. We work with these professionals as a team to best support and serve the needs of our clients.  For example, by organizing and maintaining accurate financial records for a client, we can easily compile the necessary documents for tax preparation by an accountant. When the accountant has prepared the required tax returns, we make sure they are correctly signed, that the appropriate checks are attached, and the returns are mailed on time.

How much do your services cost?

Our services are billed on an hourly or flat fee basis and we bill our clients monthly. Since our services are customized to fit the specific needs of each client, the total cost varies depending on the services requested.

It’s possible you may be eligible for a discount on our services if you qualify for our sliding fee scale.  In some cases, costs for travel time and out-of-pocket expenses (copies, postage stamps etc.) will be charged if applicable.

Will I be giving up my independence if I hire Thrive FinCare Solutions?

No, in fact our services help many seniors avoid giving up their independence, or guardianship. In addition to the peace of mind and security we provide, our daily money management services give seniors and their families additional time and freedom to do more of what matters most.

Is your company insured and bonded?

Yes, we carry both general liability and professional liability insurance designed specifically for daily money managers. Additionally, each staff member undergoes a complete background check and is bonded to provide an additional level of protection for our clients.

We are also a proud member of the American Association of Daily Money Managers (AADMM) and are bound by its high standards of service and Code of Ethics.
